Overview
Welcome to Mayor Stephanie Rawling-Blake’s Youth B’More initiative, a charge to the Rawlings-Blake administration, the children of Baltimore City, their parents, and the entire community, to ensure that our children can and will “B’More” this summer and throughout the year.
This initiative aims to make certain that our youth are ready to learn when they enter school and ready to earn when they graduate.
To achieve this vision, the initiative will concentrate on four simple strategies:
- Connecting youth to basic tools to succeed out of school: nutrition, jobs, mentoring, and programs
- Leveraging private/public partnerships
- Maximizing efficiency and collaboration among City agencies
- Evaluating our progress to ensure every dollar is spent where it counts the most
Parents, it’s vital that our children stay safe, active, and healthy this summer. It’s not too late to sign your child up for summer camp, summer school, summer reading, summer food, and many other programs.
Search this website for programs in your neighborhood, and continue to check back throughout the summer for the most current information about the Mayor’s Youth B’More initiative.
